The Road Ahead

We are all on this road we call life and though we like to think we have the way mapped out we are woefully inadequate to plot a safe course through the twists and turns that lay before us.  Our plans and our dreams are often in conflict with the will of God and a U-turn or another course correction is in order.

Are you following within the lines that God has given us?  Do you follow His commands?  He has given us His Word as a testimony of His love and as a way to know the direction of our life.  This is not a step by step guide to personal wealth and happiness because quite simply following Jesus will bring  joy but  is also accompanied by trials, persecutions, and sufferings.  His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path and the direction it points us is to Him....all the rest is secondary.  If the road you are on leads to Jesus that is all that matters as He will direct the paths of believers.  He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one will come unto the Father but by Him and the Way truly is narrow.

His Word is filled with signposts to keep us from veering off the road:
  • guides to proper sexual conduct
  • how to love and respect your spouse
  • the proper role of husbands and wives within the marriage
  • how to raise and educate your children
  • how to live peaceably with your neighbors
  • how to approach God
  • who He is and what He desires
There are  more signs along the way and I urge you to get acquainted with them by meeting with fellow Christians, going to a healthy church, being part of a Bible study, and very importantly studying for yourselves and spending time with Him.

I said earlier that God can redirect your path: I believe I am in that phase of life right now.  My wife and I have been in much prayer and God is pointing us in new directions and opening new opportunities.  He truly is Awesome and Wonderful and merciful to us His children but we are often to busy speeding along the Road to hear His voice or read the warning signs.  They are there for our good and not to hinder the often false happiness this life promises as true joy and peace lie within being faithfully obedient to our Lord

What road signs have you missed lately?  Is your life between the lines or are you careening close to the precipice?

Thanks for stopping by Joe. We all at some point in our lives need to be presented with the plan of Salvation.

I can tell you that knowing God intimately is the most amazing feelings in the world. Nothing else matters when you know you are loved so dearly by Jesus. His will is beyond what we can imagine. I don't think people realize how awesome it is being in God's will.

I asked God recently to bless me with an answer to a prayer I had been praying about. I specifically asked that He bless me on my birthday, which is today. As I was hit by many things today and overwhelmed and in tears, God sent someone who I don't know from the other side of the globe to speak these words to me:

“My Daughter, never get anxious. I know that there are many things going on in your life right now. But, do not worry about them. Nothing has gone in your life which I did not know beforehand or which I have not permitted. I will fix each & every situation and answer each & every prayer of yours. Have I not provided for you until now? Am I not faithful anymore? Always remember that I love you”.

Every thing I was anxious about was answered in that message from God.

God wants to pour out His love to us more than our minds can ever even imagine!! God's will is the way to live even if there is many trials. It's all worth it!!

Thank you for being so faithful to God's will. I praise God for the new opportunities He has for your family. I know God is going to use your family in a mighty way. Blessings to you all:)

God is faithful to us...that is something that amazes me everyday. It is hard to " be anxious for nothing " as He tells us because life often gets in the way.

Happy Birthday and may you have many more as God blesses you and your family.

Thank you for the encouraging comments and the faithfulness that you have shown to God.

God bless and keep the faith
